All ages play together with the number of teams dependent upon the number of registered players.

During this time, players and caregivers should note that CIAC rules prohibit players on a high school team (any level) from also participating in other baseball programs during the course of the season; therefore, they are not eligible for Season I Babe Ruth.

School Year End - August
Players ages 16, 17 and 18 are offered summer play once the school year has ended. Tryouts are conducted and players are chosen based on skill level and ability and the need to field a well-rounded team. Depending upon the number of interested players, cuts are likely to take place. The team carries extra players so that jobs and vacations are not a major conflict for the team.

* All-Star/Post-Season Play
Early July through Mid-July
East Lyme Babe Ruth sends teams to regional All-Star Babe Ruth tournaments in the first two weeks of July. Selection to the team is made by a combination of a peer-voting process for the majority of the roster and selection by team manager for the remaining roster. In order to be eligible for all-star team selection, play requirements must be met.

One team is selected for each of the three age groups: 13, 14 and 15
